SoftPOS · phone as terminal

Turn your phone or tablet into a payment terminal. Install, configure once, accept.

Overview

If you don't want a dedicated terminal, your phone or tablet can do the job. miaPOS SoftPOS works two ways:

• Android — tap-to-pay over NFC. Customer taps their phone (or contactless card) against yours.
• iOS or browser — show a QR. Customer scans with their banking app.

Install

Android:

1. Open Google Play, search miaPOS, install (or scan the QR sent by your account manager).
2. On first launch, enter merchant credentials.
3. Grant NFC permission when prompted.

iOS:

1. Open the App Store, search miaPOS, install.
2. Enter merchant credentials on first launch.
3. Use the in-app QR display for each transaction.

Accept a payment (Android NFC)

1. Enter the amount in the keypad.
2. Tap Charge.
3. Ask the customer to tap their phone or card against the back of your device.
4. Hold for ~2 seconds until you both hear the confirmation beep.
5. Send the receipt by SMS or email from the success screen.

Accept a payment (QR)

1. Enter the amount.
2. Tap Show QR. The screen displays a single-use code.
3. Customer scans with their banking app and confirms.
4. Wait for the green checkmark, then deliver the goods.

Refunds

Same flow as the hardware terminal: History → find transaction → Refund. Manager PIN required for refunds above the daily threshold.
