Overview
miaPOS is an instant-payment acceptance platform. Six paypoints, one API, scheme-agnostic rails.
What miaPOS is
miaPOS is a platform for accepting instant payments — bank-to-bank transfers that settle in seconds, 24/7, without card networks in the middle. Merchants accept the way it fits their flow (in store, on a website, in a chat, with an AI agent). The same API works across all of them.
The platform is split into two layers: a rail-agnostic core that speaks ISO 20022 to any instant-payment scheme (MIA in Moldova, RoPay in Romania, IPS in Montenegro, PI-SPI in WAEMU), and an acceptance layer with six product surfaces called paypoints.
Six paypoints
Each paypoint is a separate way the merchant accepts. Pick the one that matches your context — or use several:
- Hardware POS — countertop terminal on Sunmi, SmartOne, Datecs, Ingenico, PAX.
- SoftPOS — phone or tablet replaces the terminal (Android NFC, Web/iOS QR).
- E-commerce checkout — REST API for any web shop.
- Payment Links & RtP — tokenized URLs and pain.013 push to the payer's bank.
- Conversational — Telegram checkout inside the chat.
- Agentic — AIPS protocol for AI-driven purchases.
Who these docs are for
Three kinds of integrator:
- Direct merchants — wire miaPOS into your own checkout or app via the E-comm API or a plugin.
- ISVs and platforms — embed miaPOS as one acceptance option for your end-merchants. Multi-tenant model, revenue share.
- Banks — white-label the whole acceptance layer on top of your instant-payment scheme.
