Overview

Payment Links and Request to Pay live in the same mia-links app (web and mobile). Two ways to ask for money without a terminal:

  • Payment Link — you generate a URL, share it however you want, the payer opens it and pays from their banking app.
  • Request to Pay (RtP) — you push a request directly to the payer's banking app. They see an approve/decline prompt.

Create a Payment Link

  1. Open the mia-links app or web portal.
  2. Tap New link.
  3. Enter amount (or leave open if the payer should choose) + a short description.
  4. Optional: set an expiry, mark as reusable (one link, many payments).
  5. Tap Create. You get back: a URL, a QR code, and a short embed snippet.

Share the link

Five common channels:

  • Telegram DM — paste the URL.
  • Email or invoice — embed in your invoice template; many accounting tools support clickable links.
  • QR sticker — download the QR PNG, print and stick on the table or window.
  • Instagram bio — paste the URL in your bio link. Works as a regular link in Instagram.
  • SMS — built-in send via the app.

Send a Request to Pay

  1. Tap New request.
  2. Enter the payer's IBAN (or phone number if their bank supports alias resolution).
  3. Enter amount + description.
  4. Tap Send. The request lands in their banking app within 1–2 seconds.

Use RtP for subscription billing, scheduled invoices, or any case where you don't want the payer to copy/paste a link.

Track and refund

The dashboard shows status per link/request: Pending · Paid · Expired · Refunded. Tap any paid item to refund (full or partial). Refunds settle to the original IBAN within seconds.

Templates

Save reusable templates (amount, description, expiry policy) for recurring scenarios — e.g. “Monthly retainer · 500 MDL”. Generate a new link from a template with one tap.
