Activating your miaPOS terminal on Sunmi
Video + text guide for a Sunmi terminal (P2 / P3): from the first boot to accepting your first payment. The whole flow takes about 5–10 minutes.
What you need before you start
- Sunmi terminal (P2 or P3) received from Finergy, powered on and connected to Wi-Fi.
- IDNO — your company's tax ID (13 digits). You already know it, or find it in the welcome email from Finergy.
- Terminal ID — the terminal code (e.g. P03S0123). Find it in the email / label from Finergy.

Prepare the Sunmi terminal
Sunmi terminals run their own Android-based OS with a built-in store (Sunmi Store / APK Market). In most cases Finergy ships the terminal with the miaPos app already installed. If it isn't there, you can install it manually.
Power on and connect to Wi-Fi
Hold the power button. On first boot the terminal walks you through Wi-Fi setup. Make sure the signal is stable.
Find the miaPos app
On the home screen (or in the app drawer), look for the miaPos icon.
If miaPos isn't visible, open Sunmi Store (or APK Market), search for miaPos and tap Install. If it's not listed in the store, write to [email protected].

Activate miaPos
Open the app and enter the data you received from Finergy.
Open miaPos and pick your bank
On first launch, miaPos shows the "Select your partner bank" screen. Pick your bank from the partner list.
Enter IDNO
On the "Enter your terminal details" screen, fill in IDNO with your company tax ID (13 digits).
Don't have the data? Tap "Send onboarding by email" — you'll receive it.
Enter Terminal ID and tap Next
Fill in Terminal ID with the value from Finergy (e.g. P03S0123).
When both fields are filled, the Next button turns active — tap it.
Terminal is activated
miaPos shows the Terminal screen with the merchant ID and store address. The terminal is ready to accept payments.
First payment — how it works
After activation, open the day from Profile → Terminal tab, enter the amount and present the QR to the customer. Below — a short video showing a real payment on a Sunmi P3.

✅ Done! Your terminal is active
You can take payments now: open the day, enter the amount and present the QR to the customer. The customer scans the QR with their bank's app and confirms the payment.
Common issues
| Situation | Fix |
|---|---|
| The miaPos app doesn't appear on the home screen | Check Wi-Fi, then open Sunmi Store / APK Market and search for miaPos. If it isn't listed, write to [email protected]. |
| The Next button stays grey | Both fields (IDNO + Terminal ID) must be filled correctly. IDNO has 13 digits. |
| You don't know the IDNO or Terminal ID | Tap "Send onboarding by email" or check the welcome email from Finergy. |
| Activation error | Confirm the correct bank is selected and that the data is exact. Contact miaPOS support. |
| You have a SmartOne terminal, not Sunmi | Use the SmartOne guide — the flow is different (it needs Palm Payment). |
