Download miaPOS App
Install the miaPOS app from Google Play on your Android phone.

Log In
Enter your merchant credentials provided by your bank to activate the app.

Tap a customer's card or phone to your device, or display a QR code for scanning.
STEP 1
Download the miaPOS App
Open Google Play on your Android device (Android 9 or higher with NFC support required) and search for "miaPOS". Download and install the app. During installation, you will be prompted to grant NFC and notification permissions -- accept both to ensure full functionality. The app is lightweight and runs in the background without affecting your phone's performance.
STEP 2
Log In with Your Credentials
Launch the app and enter the merchant credentials provided by your acquiring bank. The first login activates your phone as a registered payment terminal. Your device is now linked to your merchant account, and you can start accepting payments immediately. You can manage multiple sellers under the same account via the Merchant Portal.
STEP 3
Accept Payments!
Enter the payment amount and choose your method: NFC tap-to-pay (the customer taps their card or phone to the back of your device) or QR code (display a dynamic code on your screen for the customer to scan with their banking app). Payment confirmation appears instantly on your screen, and a receipt can be sent via SMS or email.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which phones are compatible with miaPOS?
Any Android device running Android 9 or higher with NFC hardware is compatible. Most modern Samsung, Xiaomi, and Google Pixel devices work out of the box. iOS is not currently supported for miaPOS.
Is miaPOS as secure as a physical terminal?
Yes. miaPOS uses the same encryption and security protocols as dedicated POS terminals. All payment data is processed in a secure element on the device and never stored locally. The app is PCI DSS compliant.
Can I use my phone for personal tasks while miaPOS is active?
Absolutely. The miaPOS app runs in the background and only activates when you open it to process a payment. Your phone remains fully usable for calls, messages, and other apps.
Do I need a separate merchant account for miaPOS?
No. miaPOS uses the same merchant account as your other terminals. You can manage all devices (physical POS and phone terminals) from a single Merchant Portal dashboard.
